for anger lodges in the heart of fools.

You Are Nothing But A “Footnote”
I did not expect Justin Sparks to win his run for Speaker of the Missouri House. I did, however, expect him to be given the respect he deserves for listening to the grassroots conservatives in the Missouri GOP and trying to do something to change the status quo. The people across the state have very legitimate reasons to be concerned about Jonathan Patterson being in that role, given his voting record and public comments. We deserved to be assured that our concerns were heard, and that Patterson would change course as a supposed leader in our party. Instead, we got this…
Not only is Jonathan Patterson not interested in rolling back A3, he is not interested in IP Reform either. He claims the challenge to his House Speakership was nothing more than a "footnote", and had nothing to do with policy. The hubris on display here as he accuses Justin Sparks of having an "oceanic ego" is laughable. Only an “oceanic ego” could blind him to how hypocritical that kind of statement is. Apparently, the grassroots conservatives in the MO GOP are nothing but a footnote to him.
As I said before, I did not expect Justin Sparks to win. However, I now feel foolish for hoping that Patterson would be graceful in victory, acknowledge the concerns of the grassroots base, and commit to working together to address the REAL priorities of We The People, rolling back A3, and passing IP Reform. Instead, he announced how proud he was that all the democrats voted for him. Once again, it appears that the GOP will be working against us. Even so, pray that the Holy Spirit will work on the hearts of elected officials in the Legislature in ways that we cannot.
Coming Soon: Free MAID Service For All
For those who may not know, MAID stands for Medical Assistance In Dying, or medically assisted suicide as you and I know it, and it is perfectly legal in Canada. To be eligible for MAID service (sounds like you’re just ordering a turn-down service at your hotel, AmIRight?), you must have “a grievous and irremediable medical condition”, which is defined by the Canadian government below:
To be considered as having a grievous and irremediable medical condition, you must meet all of the following criteria. You must:
have a serious illness, disease or disability
be in an advanced state of decline that cannot be reversed
experience unbearable physical or mental suffering from your illness, disease, disability or state of decline that cannot be relieved under conditions that you consider acceptable
That sounds at least semi-reasonable, right?
Thou shalt not murder.
Exodus 20:13
I have no intention of getting into a long, drawn out dissertation on whether or not suicide and euthanasia are ethical practices. I will simply say that the sixth commandment absolutely applies, and “murder” in the context of Exodus 20:13 refers both to premeditated murder, and also accidentally causing the death of a person through negligence or carelessness. As Wayne Grudem explains, “Just as the command against murder prohibits abortion in the very early stages of human life, so the command against murder also prohibits the intentional killing of a person in the final stages of human life.”1 This prohibition includes the killing of oneself (suicide).
The Biblical principle that “A little leaven leavens the whole lump”2 is in full effect, because the justification for government assisted suicide (which is what it really is) in Canada does not stop there. Directly after the assertion above at how “rare” and “limited” it is supposed to be, the following text appears:
You do not need to have a fatal or terminal condition to be eligible for medical assistance in dying.
This one sentence essentially wiped out the other restrictions entirely, as evidenced by the decision of a judge in March of 2024, in which a 27 year old woman with autism was granted the right to government assisted suicide. Fortunately for that young woman, and the people that love her, earlier that year Canada postponed assisted suicide for the mentally ill temporarily, saying that the country’s health system is “not ready” for that… yet. The following statement was added to the definition of valid medical conditions:
If your only medical condition is a mental illness, you are not eligible for medical assistance in dying until March 17, 2027.
In other words, the Overton Window in Canada needs to shift a bit more before the people will accept the suiciding of the mentally ill who are otherwise perfectly healthy.
While we wait for that tragic inevitability to come to pass, the death dealers are not sitting idle. Now Canadian doctors are socializing the concept of suicide by organ donation. It won’t be long after that before the government begins euthanizing criminals serving life sentences in prison in order to harvest their organs. Then, mandatory euthanasia for poor old people, then the “mentally ill”, and on and on it goes.
BUT, you say, that’s Canada! We would never let that happen here in the U.S.!
Au contraire mon ami!
Government assisted suicide is legal in 10 states, and the District of Columbia. Whatever restrictions exist currently, you can bet those will be reduced or removed as quickly as the death dealers can get legislation passed to do so. While Missouri is not currently on that list, remember, a year ago abortion was illegal here as well. There is currently nothing preventing the same people that modified our state Constitution to enshrine abortion from repeating that little hat trick to include MAID service as well. This is yet another reason IP Ratification Reform is critical THIS session, and should be placed in front of every other piece of legislation on both the calendars of the House and Senate in Missouri.
Stay vigilant, Patriots! The enemy is inside the gates, and they are death worshippers.
