Phone Banking/Door Knocking for MRL
This update is from Melissa Thomas:
I finally have some details on getting involved phone banking or door knocking through the MRL system. The first and second steps in the process are to go the Created Equal Volunteer Portal below and create a login:
After creating the account, sign the volunteer agreement. After that you wait about 24 hours for them to send you an invite to Numinar. When you receive that invite, create another account on Numinar. From Numinar you can start phone banking now. I'm happy to give you a tutorial once you get that far. Door knocking walkbooks are coming soon, but not available at this moment.
Cass County Building Codes And You
The following is a guest article from my friend, Jim Pelis. To provide full context, I am going to share some Facebook content from Skylar’s FB account for background on what has transpired.
Link to video shared on Skylar’s FB account.
This is from my friend, Skylar Gibler. Check out either Hannah or Skylar on Facebook to get the scoop about their dealings with Cass County's ridiculous codes and zoning department.
Hey!! So here is an update on our situation with Cass county codes.
We had a meeting with one of the commissioners today and have his full support but we need Bob Huston on board.
Many people have sent Bob the video so he is aware of the situation but doesn't think we have much support and thinks it will blow over.
Here's where you come in! This Wednesday the 25th, at 12 at the old courthouse they will be having a meeting. We will be petitioning the commissioners for our situation and major code reform. This will have a major impact on anyone living in the county not just our situation! We need as many people to show up as possible. Kids included! We want change for YOU and your Family and the next generation and that is why we did what we did.
Please show up and be a voice for your family! If you're not able to physically be there respectful phones calls and emails in support of change would be powerful.
Please send this to anyone who you think is interested in positive change in the county.
Here is the link to call and send emails.
