America Needs More Warrior Poets
The United States is in crisis. No, not the crisis du jour, concocted by globalists, communists, or government. I am speaking of the real crisis… of identity. Our people don’t know who they are anymore. They don’t know where we came from, or the unique heritage of our founders. Men in our culture are floundering, unsure of their calling. Young men, in particular, are waking up to the fact that the mold our culture tries to force them into is wrong, but they are having a hard time figuring out what manhood should look like. The result is that we have a population of boys addicted to video games who never grow up, men who are overly aggressive and virtually useless in a family unit, and lots of man-boy hybrids stuck somewhere in the middle and desperate for answers.
The author G. Michael Hopf wrote, “Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.” The bad news is that we have a lot of weak men, and times are getting harder by the day. The good news is that there are some strong men out there, calling all men to find their higher purpose, and become the strong men we need. John Lovell is one of those strong men.
From the dust jacket:
In The Warrior Poet Way, public speaker, former Army Ranger, and all-around patriot John Lovell offers a needed antidote to the lack of strong masculine guides in our modern world. This is a call to all men to be what they truly are. Dangerous and good. Lovers and fighters. Lions and lambs.
Whether you are a young man, trying to find your way in this world, or an old man (like me), wanting to finish well, The Warrior Poet Way provides an opportunity for men to embrace the challenge of being what America needs right now. Strong men. Principled men. Disciplined men. Moral men. Dangerous men. Men who will do what is necessary to provide, protect, and lead themselves, their families, and their communities. I highly recommend this book as a jumping off point for any man who is ready to get up off the couch and do hard things and release the Warrior Poet that resides within him.
