A Brief Potpourri of Updates
I have a confession to make. I saw the word potpourri in something I was reading earlier this week, and decided I needed to find a way to get it into a headline. You’re Welcome.
This has been another busy week, both personally, and getting ready for Caucus, so this will be a short update.
The MO Freedom Caucus released another Parking Lot Podcast:

Sen. Rick Brattin’s Capitol Update:
The Tenth Amendment Center covered our efforts to get gold and silver recognized as legal tender in Missouri:
Missouri House Committee Holds Hearing on Bills to Make Gold and Silver Legal Tender in the State
If you’d like to know more about what the Tenth Amendment Center is all about, you can go here.
Dr. Robert Malone has published a brief primer on the US beef cattle industry. Spoiler Alert: It’s not good.
The following (Twitter link) is an example of what can happen when the wrong people end up in charge of state agencies that are supposed to “keep the public safe”. It’s happening in Pennsylvania today. If we are not careful in how we limit the power of Missouri government, and wise about how these individuals are selected, it could be us tomorrow. Remember, liberty and safety are often at odds, and crises of safety are the most common path socialists and communists use to take control.

Book Recommendation
If you watched the MO Freedom Caucus Parking Lot Podcast above, you may have heard Sen. Rick Brattin refer to the concept of the “Lesser Magistrates”. This is actually a Biblical concept that is outlined very well in this week’s book recommendation, The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates, by Matthew J. Trewhella. I did not know about this concept until recently, and have only just finished the book in the last couple of weeks. It is a fast read, but there is a lot to prayerfully consider there. If nothing else, it’s worth the read just to be informed.

NOTE: I usually provide a link to Amazon, when available, because even though Amazon’s ethics and worldview do not align with mine, in my opinion, the price, the speed with which they deliver, the condition of the product when it reaches me, and the relatively hassle-free experience are still head and shoulders above their competition, particularly when it comes to books. I did not provide an Amazon link for this book, because right now, they only offer it through other sellers, and none of those sellers have a good rating on Fakespot.
