The Next President Was Railroaded This Week
As I’m sure you all are aware, President Donald J. Trump was found guilty on all 34 charges in his New York hush money trial on Thursday. I normally do not cover national news in this newsletter, because my main focus is local issues. However, the entire world just took a beg step toward oblivion this week, and to ignore it would be irresponsible.
NY jury finds Trump guilty on all 34 counts in criminal hush money trial, sentencing set for July
Not that this was a surprise to anyone, because the entire legal system in New York was weaponized and re-configured to do one thing, and one thing only, convict Donald Trump of something… anything… before the election, and preferably before the GOP national convention, so that the elitists in the GOP can use that to throw a hail Mary and replace him as a candidate. All one has to do is look at the way the judge handled the jury instructions to see the perfect example of what I am talking about.
Judge Merchan’s Jury Instructions Prove Trump’s Trial Is About Power, Not The Law
Obviously, President Trump was neither pleased, nor speechless at the result:
Trump defiant after guilty verdict in criminal trial: 'We'll keep fighting'
Trump attorney Will Scharf, who also happens to be a candidate for Missouri Attorney General, had this to say on social media shortly after the verdict:
I could go on, but unfortunately, with everything I want to get in the newsletter this week, the warning lights on Substack are telling me the overall size is approaching the maximum. SO, I’ll stop here, for now.
It’s Time For The Primary Hustle!
Are you hustlin' for your primary candidates yet? Canvassing? Making calls? Kicking in a little cash when you can? Now is the time to let them know you are available, and meet a need. You can't do everything, but you can do something. Cass county conservative grassroots candidates will never have the most money, but we can outwork the opposition, if we all do our part.
