There are lots of things going on in Cass county and Missouri that you need to know about, and Substack (the platform I use to send you newsletters on) has a size limit on how large the newsletters can get. SO, that means we either leave you uninformed, or we send out newsletters more frequently during these times. We respect your time, and do not want to become just another spam email that gets auto-deleted or ignored, so we am very cognizant of the number of newsletters we send out. As always, if you have any feedback, including, “Hey, quit spamming me to death!”, we want to hear it.
A Note From Jessica Levsen
Running for office takes so much time and energy. All too often we as the public think our only duty is to show up and vote. The left has worked hard for decades to gain the power they have. They have infiltrated our government, our schools, our churches, and our homes. The people that are in power are there because someone or some entity invested in them. You are going to have to invest if you ever want to gain any power back. It is not enough just to complain on social media or to show up and complain at meetings. If you refuse to invest by placing the best candidates into office, then you are not really interested in the return of your power.
Everyone needs to define their values and then ask themselves if their actions show their values. If you are not living out what you say you value, do you truly value it? You will never feel like you have enough time or money in this world but I would challenge you to reexamine where your time and money are going. Are you investing in that which you say you care about? I have been asking myself these same questions over the last several years. I would like you all to consider making some sort of an investment in the candidates you support.
I am so thankful that on multiple levels we have candidates that are willing to hold strong to Godly values and seek a return of those values to our government. Our country was supposed to be run by the People, for the People.
We are The People! Take your power back!

Cultural Impact Conference
How often have we discussed in our meetings that the church needs to be more involved in politics if we want to change the culture? So many political issues directly impact the ability of Christians to live out the Gospel in the United States, but so many churches remain silent. In September, right here in Missouri, there will be an event with the stated purpose below:
The Cultural Impact Conference is a call to the church to act decisively to protect the lives of the unborn in the state of Missouri as well as work to win back our culture through political engagement in our local, state, and national governments.
Listen to this brief message from Chris Williams, Senior Pastor of Fellowship Church and President of the Missouri Baptist Convention.
This event is FREE, but you must register here.

A Personal Note
In the previous newsletter, I announced both that We The People of Cass County MO now has an informal board of directors, and we announced all the group endorsements for the 2024 GOP Primary season. The one race that was noticeably absent from that list was the 56th Missouri state house district, in which Michael Davis, who is the incumbent, Ryan Johnson, currently the Cass County North Commissioner, and football coach Todd Berck, all running for the seat in the GOP 2024 Primary. Because both Michael Davis and Ryan Johnson have been vetted by REPACCMO, and they both have conservative voting records in their elected offices, We The People of Cass County MO decided not to endorse anyone in that race as an organization.
However, each board member retains our ability to personally endorse candidates individually, and I have decided to personally endorse Ryan Johnson for the 56th Missouri state house district in the 2024 GOP Primary. Ryan brings a wealth of political experience to this position, and yet also possesses the integrity that I would demand of anyone who would represent me. He is conservative to his core, but also understands that the world is not as it once was, and we need to focus on the America First policies that will truly Make America Great Again. If you live in District 56, please consider voting for him in the upcoming primary on August 6th.
