I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these!
Missouri GOP Delegate “Disqualifications” Continue
In the last WTP of Cass County MO newsletter, we learned that the Vernon county delegates to the Congressional District 4 convention were disqualified due to a clerical error, and all signs point to an example being made of Vernon county leadership because they dared to institute a vetting process for GOP candidates to try to ensure that those desiring to run as Republicans both understand, and are willing to commit to, the principles in the party platform. It appears that anyone who does not submit to the dictates of the party leadership at the Congressional District and state level can expect to be targeted, and Benton county is in a similar situation, with their delegates having been chosen by party leadership entirely. I don’t have many details at this time, but I will share them as soon as I do. If you would like to sign an open letter of support for Vernon county’s original delegates, you can click here.
Freedom Principle MO Legislative Update
Lots of legislation activity this week in Jefferson City.
Free Markets a Libertarian Idea?
There are many Republicans these days that consider free market ideas Libertarian, not conservative. Has the Overton Window really shifted that far? Does no one remember this guy named Ronald Reagan, and the economist Milton Friedman that traveled with him?
On a related note, these same Republicans attack President Trump for not being conservative because he is trying to bring jobs back to American soil. It's as if they don't understand the 5th generation warfare strategies being employed by our enemies, that use unconventional methods to wage war, including war on economies and markets.
Understanding traditional conservative principles, as well as modern threats to our way of life are essential to the American people. Spread the word. Invite people to meetings. Help move the Overton Window back toward sanity.
EDIT: I forgot to mention. You know that "school choice" thing that is so popular with Republicans these days, especially in Missouri? Yeah, that was Milton Friedman's idea. He is known as the Father of School Choice.

Ain't I been sayin' this?!!
Uncivic Education - Epoch Times
This is why "Educating ourselves and others on the principles of real conservatism" is the first goal of We The People of Cass County MO. Neither patriotic history, proper civics, or free market economic theory are being taught in most schools or universities anymore, and haven't been for so long that most adults don't know the basics.
Technical Recommendation
This is a new topic in the WTP of Cass County MO newsletter, but I think it’s sorely needed, and I know a little bit about this space, because it’s what I do to pay the bills. This week, I am recommending that you re-evaluate your choice of text message app on your phone. The vast majority of texting apps on smart phones, whether Android or Apple-based, are a security nightmare. I highly recommend you consider switching to the Signal Messaging app.
Not only does it use true end-to-end encryption, preventing anyone that might intercept the traffic in transit from decrypting the content, including Signal themselves, but it also allows encrypted phone conversations, conference calls, and video conferences. It is also free, and while normally, that means YOU are the product, or you are inundated with ads, in this case, Signal was started specifically as a non-profit specifically for the purpose of free speech communication, and is funded by grants and donations.
I should mention that unless you can convince all of the people you text, call, and video conference with to use Signal also, you will have to keep your normal messaging app around. Signal will only communicate with other Signal users, because that is the only way to maintain the levels of security that Signal demands. As a user myself, I try to get everyone I communicate with to begin using Signal as a first choice for communication, because I prefer my communications be private, not only from hackers, but also from big tech companies, like Google, Meta, Verizon, and AT&T, just to name a few. For those who are familiar with encryption, the keys are actually stored on your device, and cannot be accessed by Signal, so even if the company wanted to compromise your communications, they could not. This also prevents them from providing the content of your communications due to court order or legal demand.
Technical Caveat: I do not want to give the impression that this in any way secures your phone. It does not. It simply secures your communication, while in transit. If your phone access is compromised, either because you do not use a strong enough password or pin to access your phone, or because your phone access is compromised in some other way, the encryption keys will be accessible, thereby exposing your message content to bad actors at either the source or destination of content transmissions. Where you are connecting to communicate are also captured by both your provider and Signal, although Signal does not log this information.
Meeting Location
Since taking on leadership of The 4Cs (now We The People of Cass County MO), numerous people have approached me, requesting that we find a different venue for our meetings, for a variety of reasons. One of the most prevalent reasons for this is the desire for a more central location in the county, which would draw more people that do not currently attend.
This is just a heads up that I hear you, and I am currently exploring other meeting locations. I have a couple of decent options, and I am leaning toward one particular spot that would be a great location in the county, right off a highway. Once I’ve had a chance to confirm the space, availability of the venue, and get it on the calendar with the owners, I will notify the group. Hopefully, this change will us to grow our numbers, and reach more people!
NOTE: Several topics this week were published on the WTP of Cass County MO Facebook group. I’m not getting lazy, I just think these topics are important, and I want to make sure the folks that are not on Facebook see this information as well.
