Inaugural Issue of the 4Cs News!
Facebook is at it again, throttling or shadow banning time critical communications. Due to that, I will be sending out legislative, election, activism, and occasionally some historical updates via the 4Cs News Substack. Of course, I will also still be sending out notices of agendas for the 4Cs meetings, so no worries there. Please let me know how you like this communication moving forward. There is not much on this initial edition, because this is as much a test as anything else. Godspeed!
Missouri Legislature Seeks to Regulate Homeschools
The following statement went out to several Missouri elected officials (Sen. Rick Brattin, Rep. Michael Davis, Rep. Sherri Gallick, Rep. Mike Haffner) just a day before they begin discussing Education Reform legislation in Jefferson City.
One of the hottest topics in the Missouri state legislature this session is education reform, which is understandable, because by just about every measure, Missouri’s government schools are in a terrible state. This is not a new condition, thus, as the system continues to fail, more parents have made the choice to take on the financial responsibility of homeschooling their children. It is more of a financial burden for homeschoolers because not only are they spending money on their own children’s education, but they are forced to pay for government education as well. They choose to homeschool because the system is failing, but the sacrifices are worth it to see that their children get an education free from forced government curriculum, cookie-cutter education practices, socialist and woke indoctrination, and exposure to materials that are age-inappropriate at best and straight up pornography at worst.
As soon as the topic of education reform began to bubble up to the top of the GOP agenda, homeschool groups across the country began to warn legislators about the inherent dangers that come with that type of education “freedom” legislation. There have been warnings that there would be stipulations pushed from all angles to finally regulate “those homeschoolers”. We have been told, time and time again, that there is nothing to worry about, that we will have the “choice” to opt in (do that with taxes instead), and it won’t be mandatory. We have been told that the GOP would not let that happen. It appears that is not the case.

Read the Missouri GOP platform below and see if regulating homeschoolers aligns with it.
https://missouri.gop/about/platform/freedom/
▪ The fundamental right of parents to raise their children according to the convictions of their family and faith, to be the primary authority to determine and direct the nurturing, health care, education, guidance, discipline, and moral upbringing of their children, including the ability to home-school or send children to faith-based schools free of burdensome government regulations.
▪ The God-given right for parents to choose how to educate their children, whether home education, private, charter, or public, etc.
▪ The authority of parents as the primary educators of their children in all matters, including morality, sexual orientation, sexuality and sexual health, and responsibility.
Missouri homeschooling families have been educating their children without government interference since before there were government schools in Missouri, and overall, the children have excelled and even far surpassed the children in government education.
PLEASE commit to reading any and every education-related bill that crosses your desk BEFORE considering voting for it and ensure that there are NO NEW REGULATIONS on homeschooling families. This type of tax and regulatory behavior flies directly in the face of everything Republicans are supposed to stand for.
We were able to obtain 16 people to add their names to this communication prior to getting it sent out. If this is something you feel strongly about as well, please reach out to your elected officials individually. Numbers matter.
Tucker Carlson Interviews Javier Melei
The interview the Tucker Carlson did with Javier Melei, now the President of Argentina, is 30 minutes you will not regret. It is behind a pay wall for Tucker's new Network, but it is worth every penny (you can pay $9/mo. for one month just to see what he has going on). The interview covers several different topics, from socialism to Donald J Trump. Javier Melei is intelligent, articulate, charismatic, and in very few words masterfully defines socialism, and the cure for it.
"Argentina's embrace of socialist ideas began with an idea that seems attractive but is actually a terrifying way to operate an economic system: The idea that where there is a need, there is a right. It's a problem because there can be infinite needs, but someone always has to pay for those rights, and the resources for that are finite. That sparks a conflict between infinite needs and finite resources.
In the [libertarian] view, the conflict is easy to resolve, through economic freedom and private property. This is a natural mechanism to resolve this tension in society. But the socialists don't much like the invisible hand; they prefer the claws of the State, and they hide it behind the discourse of social justice. This sort of social justice is deeply unjust, because it's premeditated by unequal treatment under the law and preceded by robbery."
